[Nongsuchuksan Shinmun = Reporter Park Yu-shin] On the 16th, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Song Mi-ryeong visited the Fermentation Research Institute of Hanyoungseok Agricultural Corporation, located in Jeongeup, Jeonbuk. During the visit, she listened to case studies of outstanding companies in rural startups and convergence industries, toured the institute, and encouraged the on-site staff. This visit was arranged ahead of Chuseok to promote the excellence of traditional liquor and to encourage the purchase of traditional liquor gift sets made using domestic agricultural products. The visited company is an agricultural corporation that produces traditional liquor using rice grown in the Jeonbuk region; it serves as a growth model for rural startups by continuously expanding the scale of local agricultural product usage, sales, and the employment of local residents.
