[Korea Agricultural News Reporter Yoo Seung-hyun] Attention is focused on whether the entry of Korean Hanwoo into the Middle Eastern market will gain momentum. Nonghyup, which exported Halal Hanwoo to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the first time last year, has signed business agreements with four local distributors to expand the foundation for cooperation aimed at expanding export markets. Nonghyup Economic Holdings (CEO of Livestock Economy Division Ahn Byung-woo) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with four local buyer companies on the 29th to expand Hanwoo exports to the Middle East. This agreement was reached following an event inviting Middle Eastern buyers. At the event, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and Nonghyup held Hanwoo demonstrations and tasting sessions to introduce the quality and taste of the beef to local buyers and discuss export cooperation plans.
