[Nongsuchuksan Shinmun = Reporter Shim Mi-jin] On the 27th, Kim Sang-kyung, Deputy Administrator of the Rural Development Administration, visited farms in Wanju-gun, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province that have adopted energy-saving technologies for greenhouse crops, and farms in Jinan-gun that have adopted the second-generation smart farm platform ‘Ara Greenhouse’ in succession to inspect the utilization of new technologies and listen to on-site feedback. This visit was arranged to verify the effectiveness of new technologies developed and distributed by the RDA and to explore field-oriented technology dissemination strategies that reflect the opinions of farmers. First, Deputy Administrator Kim visited a greenhouse tomato farm (3,923㎡) in Bongdong-eup, Wanju-gun, to check the utilization status of the ‘Vertical Diffusion Circulation Fan,’ which was installed last year as part of a pilot project for new technologies to improve greenhouse environments.
