Agricultural drone accidents have surged 4.7 times in three years.
According to data received from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs by Rep. Lee Yang-su of the People Power Party (Sokcho, Inje, Goseong, and Yangyang, Gangwon Province), the number of insurance claims paid for agricultural drones under the comprehensive agricultural machinery insurance reached 703 cases last year. The figures increased annually from 151 cases in 2022 to 232 cases in 2023 and 394 cases in 2024. In particular, the number surged significantly last year, increasing 4.7 times compared to 2022.
