[Nongsuchuksan Shinmun = Reporter Park Se-jun] Korea Microgreen (CEO Son Byeong-gap), a company specializing in smart farms, has developed a modular smart farm system utilizing Fogponics and is expanding its presence in domestic and international markets. According to Korea Microgreen, 'Cubic,' a modular cultivation device developed through 10 years of research, focuses on addressing the high initial facility costs, heating and cooling expenses, and difficulties associated with crop changes and facility relocation found in existing smart farms. Cubic features a chamber-type modular structure designed to reduce initial investment costs by more than 70% compared to conventional glass greenhouses. It directly supplies fine water molecules smaller than 5 microns to the plant roots.
