[Korea Agricultural Policy News Reporter Han Ui-jin] The 1st Agricultural Product Price Stabilization Deliberation Committee (the Committee) deliberated on key matters regarding the Agricultural Product Price Stabilization System (Price Stabilization System) that has been in effect since the 27th of last month. It was decided that garlic and onions will be the items to be introduced in 2026, and that the base price will include the full amount of management costs and all or part of self-labor costs. On the 10th, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (Minister Song Mi-ryeong) held the 1st Committee meeting at the aT Center in Yangjae-dong, Seoul, presided over by Vice Minister Kim Jong-gu. Under the Price Stabilization System, if the average price of agricultural products for a given year falls below the base price despite the government's preemptive supply and demand management, the government subsidizes all or part of the difference.
