Kang Man-hee (73), CEO of Jeju Seogwipo Bullohwang Tangerine Farm, cultivates early-maturing Bigarim tangerines on an area of 11,570㎡ (3,500 pyeong). CEO Kang, who has been farming tangerines for 47 years as of 2025, is famous in the market for shipping high-sugar tangerines with an average Brix of 16-18.
CEO Kang said, “Usually, we ship them to Garak Market in Seoul through Jeju Tangerine Agricultural Cooperative from October to December, and the average successful bid price is 1.5-1.8 times higher than that of the same items.” He said that when the average auction price for the same product from October to December 2025 was 25,000 to 30,000 won per 3kg box, he received around 45,000 won.
