# Plans and billing

> What Free, Premium, Team and the Auction Desk add-on include, how the free trial works, and how to change a plan, cancel, find invoices and manage Team seats.

The Ag Digest has one free plan, two paid plans and one add-on. The prices and the full comparison are on the [plans page](https://www.theagdigest.com/en/subscribe); this guide explains how they fit together and how billing works day to day.

**Auction Desk** is an add-on, not a plan. It attaches to Premium or Team, is billed with the plan on the same invoice and the same period, and ends with it. On Team it covers every seat. On an annual plan it costs $276 a year on Premium and $852 a year on Team.

The **API** is included with Team when Auction Desk is on the plan. Keys belong to the team's owner. See the [API reference](https://www.theagdigest.com/en/docs/api).

## The free trial

Either paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and no card is needed to begin. Add a card before the trial ends to keep the plan; if you do not, the account returns to Free and nothing is charged. Auction Desk added at checkout is covered by the same trial. An account has one trial: a second subscription starts billing at once.

## Changing plans

- **Premium to Team, monthly to annual, or back**: open the billing portal from [your billing page](https://www.theagdigest.com/en/account/billing). A change is prorated, so you pay or are credited for the unused part of the current period.
- **With Auction Desk on the plan**: change plans on the billing page itself, where the add-on moves with you and the exact charge appears before you confirm.
- **Adding or removing Auction Desk**: on the billing page at any time. Removing it leaves the plan as it is and credits the unused time to your next invoices.

## Cancelling

Cancel from the billing portal. Your access continues to the end of the period you have paid for, and nothing further is charged. Payments already made are not refunded, as the Terms say. Cancelling also ends Auction Desk and, on Team, every seat's access at the same date.

## Invoices and receipts

Every invoice and receipt is in the billing portal, reached from [your billing page](https://www.theagdigest.com/en/account/billing). The portal is run by Stripe, which processes payments for The Ag Digest; it is also where you update a card or a billing address.

## Team seats

Team covers up to 5 people, the owner included. Each member signs in with their own account and gets Premium through the team, plus the shared workspace. The owner invites and removes members from the team page in the workspace and holds the bill; a member who leaves, or whose team's plan ends, returns to Free and can subscribe alone. Auction Desk on a Team plan covers every seat, and the API keys are the owner's.

## Access granted another way

Some accounts hold Premium or Team without a subscription: a complimentary grant, or a seat on someone else's team. The billing page says which. There is no portal for a complimentary grant because there is no subscription behind it; to add Auction Desk to one, get in touch through [Help & feedback](https://www.theagdigest.com/en/support).
